The Program in General Education is transitioning to one that will require four courses in four different perspectives. Starting in Fall 2018, students will also be required to complete a course in Quantitative Reasoning and to take three departmental courses distributed across the three main divisions of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences: Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences and the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences (SEAS).
Class of 2021

All Gen Ed courses students take during the 2017-18 academic year will count toward the new requirements.
Class of 2022 & Beyond
The Class of 2022 and beyond will enter Harvard after the launch of the new program in Fall 2018 and will complete the new requirements.
